"I'm wanting a move of God...a supernatural move of God...RIGHT NOW!"
-Bishop Ron Webb
Bishop Ron Webb and Mt. Calvary Powerhouse Church hosted the “Kingdom’s Agenda” Conference at Morningside on March 22nd and 23rd.
Along with Bishop Webb, the conference featured Pastor Paula White, Bishop Calvin Scott and Psalmist Brenda Ellis.
The Conference featured anointed preaching from Pastor Paula White and Bishop Ron Webb; messages of encouragement, challenge and trust in the unmatched power of God. Bishop Webb delivered a powerful sermon on the power of God and the deliverance of the Israelites from Egypt. He talked about the struggles they had to go through before God brought them out.
Bishop Webb challenged those in attendance to be ready for God to use them for His glory.
“God didn’t bring you out of your tomb so you could be a pretty Christian,” Bishop Webb preached. “God brought you out to bring others out!…Free men free men!”
He also reminded the crowd that as you go deeper into Christ, the more the enemy will attack because he wants to keep us from experiencing the full glory in the Lord. The enemy wants us to be in church but not free of his bonds that keep us from being able to minister and change our lives and those around us through Christ’s power.
The Conference also featured Pastor Paula White in a very candid discussion about being in ministry. She and Bishop Webb talked about the challenges that pastors face and the way they’re routinely attacked and criticized by those who want to stop them from spreading the Word of God and the truth of Christ. They talked about how they can get discouraged because of the struggles and challenges they face every day, and the efforts of the enemy to stop them at every turn. They shared how many people want to get to what’s seen as the “top” of the ministry field without wanting to walk the hard road that pastors walk to get there.
They also made a light-hearted reference to the things in ministry that many people who desire to be pastors “don’t feel called to do” like scrubbing toilets in the church’s restrooms, but those times are when God is growing the character needed within all of us who desire to serve on a higher level.
Psalmist Brenda Ellis brought the house down with her powerful, soaring vocals. One attendee was so moved by Bishop Scott’s teaching that he said it was “one of the most solid times of teaching [he’s] ever heard in [his] life.”
We were honored to have these Men and Women of God here to minister to so many in attendance.
