Meriam Ibrahim Arrested Again By Sudanese Officials

Mark 13:13 “You will be hated by all because of My name, but the one who endures to the end, he will be saved.”

A day after being released from prison because her death sentence for apostasy was thrown out by an appeals court, Meriam Ibrahim was arrested at the airport in Khartoum as she was preparing to leave the country with her family.

Elshareef Ali Mohammed, the lawyer representing Ibrahim, said he was at the airport with the family when 50 security force personnel hostilely confronted her and her family.  He said the security forces would not give a reason for why they were arresting Ibrahim.  He said they knew she had been cleared by the court but arrested her anyway.

She was taken to a detention center with her two children and her American husband Daniel Wani.

A Sudanese court initially convicted Ibrahim for apostasy because her father was a Muslim.  The court said it did not matter that she was raised a Christian and had always been a Christian.

  2. A mighty AMEN and we are standing in agreement with your declarations with continued prayer. We have faith and believe that she is safely released and she and her family are coming to America.

  3. YES Lord snatch her out of the jaws of the enemy and let her go free. Give her Favor oh Holy God in Jesus name!!!!!!

  4. I have followed this story on FB for awhile with Jay Sechulo. Our government should be at least as interested in this and in the pastor held in Iran, as he is in the girls from Africa who were taken. Miriam’s husband is a US citizen and the pastor in Iranian prison has a wife in the US. He only went back to Iran to start an orphanage for children there. I have had them both in my prayers for months now. Many Christians are suffering around the world today. Someone said we are living with the most most persecuted church of all times now. David Wilkerson prophesied persecution madness here in the US as well.

  5. Oh, I felt yesterday she was not out of the woods and not safe. Let’s increase our intercession for her and her family! Lord snatch her out of the jaws of the enemy in Jesus’ name!!

  6. The devil is a liar! She is released with her family by the power of the Almighty God in the name of Jesus, a name above EVERY other name and EVERY principality and power in heaven and on earth! In the mighty name of Jesus! She is free now! In Jesus’ name! It is done!
