Navy Yard Killer Had Mental Health Problems

Revelation 6:3-4 NCV When the Lamb opened the second seal, I heard the second living creature say, "Come!" Then another horse came out, a red one. Its rider was given power to take away peace (prosperity, rest) from the earth and to make people kill each other (butcher, slaughter, to maim violently, in streets), and he was given a big sword (assassins sword, terrorist, loud, mighty, sore afraid).

Navy Yard killer Aaron Alexis reportedly suffered serious and prolonged mental health problems before his Monday assault.

Alexis, 34, had been treated for paranoia, hearing voices and sleeplessness according to a report from the Associated Press. Alexis, a full time U.S. Navy reservist from 2007-2011, was decorated with the National Defense Service medal and Global War on Terrorism Service along with receiving multiple positive reviews. However, Alexis did receive a general discharge, suggesting misconduct.

Police said that all the victims have been identified and ranged in age from 46 to 73.

Authorities said that as an employee of an IT contractor for the base, Alexis had a card granting access to the building.

Alexis’ employer claimed the military did not disclose issues that would have blocked Alexis from being hired.

“Anything that suggests criminal problems or mental health issues, that would be a flag. We would not have hired him,” Thomas Hoshko, chief executive officer of The Experts, told the Washington Post.

  1. INTERESTING HOW MANY OF THESE MASS KILLERS ARE SUDDENLY “MENTALLY DERANGED” AND HOW IT GOES TO GUN CONTROL. HE HAD A SHOT GUN, MAYBE NO HUNTING NEXT. ANYTHING TO PROVE A POINT?

  2. This makes yet another devastating example of video games + psychiatric drugs + mental detachment leading to a tragic event that could have been prevented. I can’t prove it but I believe most of the shootings that we hear about on the news have psychiatric drugs involved. Let the God of peace guard the hearts of these troubled souls. Even so come quickly Lord Jesus.
