The Air Force is seeking recommendations on their official guide to religious tolerance from an anti-Christian group that said Christian evangelism is the same as rape and is advocating that any Christian in uniform who shares their faith should be court martialed.

Mikey Weinstein, president of the Military Religious Freedom Foundation, said he and others from their organization met with Pentagon officials on April 23rd to discuss how they could stop a “tidal wave of fundamentalists.”

“Someone needs to be punished for this,” Weinstein told Fox News. “Until the Air Force or Army or Navy or Marine Corps punishes a member of the military for unconstitutional religious proselytizing and oppression, we will never have the ability to stop this horrible, horrendous, dehumanizing behavior.”

Weinstein told Fox News that a Christian sharing their faith is the same as sexual assault.

“It is a version of being spiritually raped and you are being spiritually raped by fundamentalist Christian religious predators,” he told Fox News.

The Pentagon told Fox News that Christian evangelism is already against military regulations. They remind military leaders to not use their position to share their faith with subordinates.

“Saying that a service member cannot speak of his faith is like telling a service member he cannot talk about his spouse or children,” Ron Crews of the Chaplain Alliance for Religious Liberty said. “I do not think the Air Force wants to ban personnel from protected religious speech, and I certainly hope that it is willing to listen to the numerous individuals and groups who protect military religious liberty without demonizing service members.”
