The official death toll from super storm Sandy has topped 100 as New York officials found more victims of the storm in the hardest hit parts of the city.

The official toll stands at 102.

Half of New York’s deaths are now from Staten Island which residents described as being hit with a “wall of water.”

In addition to the deaths, the lack of supplies has people concerned about the health of elderly residents and if disease outbreaks could end up killing more than the initial storm surge.

“We’re going to die! We’re going to freeze! We got 90-year-old people!” Donna Solli was seen screaming at officials. “You don’t understand. You gotta get your trucks down here on the corner now. It’s been three days!”

“This is America, not a third world nation. We need food, we need clothing,” Staten Island Borough President Jim Molinaro said today.
