Rev 6:3-4 NCV When the Lamb opened the second seal, I heard the second living creature say, "Come!"4 Then another horse came out, a red one. Its rider was given power to take away peace (prosperity, rest) from the earth and to make people kill each other (butcher, slaughter, to maim violently, in streets), and he was given a big sword (assassins sword, terrorist, loud, mighty, sore afraid).
<blockquote>“We have so devalued human life in our society that for many people it is a small thing to kill another person.”

At least 47 children were among the 108 murdered by Syrian government troops in the town of Houla. Witnesses told the BBC that the killings were carried out by the Syrian army and civilian militia working with the troops.
“They had no mercy,” opposition activist Hamza Omar told the BBC. “Children, under 10 years, their hands tied and shot at close range. By knife they cut their neck, not exactly all his neck, but they make a hole in the neck, a hole in his eyes.”
UN envoy Kofi Annan and the Arab League have condemned the attacks. UN chief Ban Ki-moon released a statement calling the massacre a “flagrant violation of international law.”
“When they opened the door, I was still with them in the room. I was standing behind the door of the living room. They took my brothers outside, and I hid on the attic. All I could hear was gunfire, it felt like the whole house was shaking,” a survivor told the BBC. “I opened the door, and I saw bodies, I couldn’t recognize my kids from my brothers. It was indescribable. I have three children, I lost three children.”
The opposition Free Syrian Army has told the UN it can no longer commit to a cease fire unless the UN Security Council can ensure protection of civilians.
