Terrorists Kill 24 Egyptian Police

Luke 21:9-10: [Jesus said] "When you hear of wars and revolutions, do not be frightened. These things must happen first, but the end will not come right away." Then he said to them, "Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom."

At least 24 Egyptian police are dead after a terrorist attack in the Sinai peninsula.

The BBC reports a police convoy near Rafah when the terrorists attacked it. The assault is one of the deadliest attacks on police in years. Officials says the officers were off-duty and riding in busses when the terrorists forced them off the bus and shot them point blank in the back of the head.

The official death toll since the government moved to clear pro-Morsi and pro-Muslim Brotherhood protest camps stands at 830. 70 of the dead are police and soldiers. Thirty-six Muslim Brotherhood supporters died in a police van when prisoners rioted on Sunday in Cairo.

The European Union is scheduling a special meeting to discuss lowering or cutting off promised financial aid to Egypt. Saudi Arabian officials said they will “always stand” with Egypt’s government in their stand against the Muslim Brotherhood.
