2 Timothy 3:1-5 (KJV) “This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, without natural affection, truce breakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, traitors, heady, high-minded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God…”
Editor’s Note: Throughout the scriptures, God has made it clear that shedding innocent blood is murder, and no murderer will enter heaven. In addition to the death of the unborn baby, abortion also substantially harms the women and many times, families, husbands, boyfriends and a whole sphere of relationships connected to and surrounding each abortion. Often, lifelong guilt and other social, relational, spiritual and even physical problems follow the murder of innocent babes in the womb. Pastor Jim Bakker believes that this issue, abortion, may be the single most significant issue that brings God’s judgment on this nation more than any other.
The Texas state legislature began its second special session by reviving a bill to protect babies from he horror of abortion.
Republican governor Rick Perry called the special session after protesters disrupted the Texas Senate in the waning hours of their first special session and kept them from being able to vote before midnight.
The bill would ban abortion after 20 weeks and require any doctor who provides abortion services to have credentials at a local hospital to admit a woman should there be complications in the process. The bill’s supporters say this provides an important protection for women’s health.
Pro-abortion advocates say the bill would force too many clinics that could not meet the standards for safety and hygiene to close.
“The world has seen images of pro-abortion activists screaming, cheering,” Gov. Rick Perry told reporters. “Going forward, we have to match their intensity but do it with grace and civility.”
