Luke 21:12 “But before all this, they will lay hands on you and persecute you. They will deliver you to synagogues and prisons, and you will be brought before kings and governors, and all on account of my name.
North Korea is preparing to execute 33 people for being Christians.
The official charge from the government is “attempting to overthrow the government.” In reality, the group was working with a South Korean Baptist missionary to set up underground churches.
Missionary Kim Jung-wook has been jailed and tortured for a year because of his attempts to start underground churches in North Korea. He was presented at a press conference last week where he apologized for his “anti-state crimes” and appealed for his release.
He was also forced to say that South Korea Intelligence services had provided him with information and equipment. The South Korean government said they had no involvement with Kim Jung-wook.
North Korean officials say the 33 people involved with Kim Jung-wook were planning to build a church on the site of a massive statue of North Korea’s founder after they overthrew the government.
Kim Jong-un has been on a murderous rampage including members of his government. His top deputy disappeared last week and some people have speculated that the North Korean leader has killed him.
Patricia and Charles are so right. Surely these Christians are like the Church of Smyrna: Rev 2:9a I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but thou art rich) … Rev 2:10 Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life. Rev 2:11 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; He that overcometh shall not be hurt of the second death.
Doesn’t it make you feel ashamed? They really take their faith seriously. They are willing to risk it all
for their dear Savior. Could we do the same? Things are changing so rapidly, we may get a chance to
find out sooner than we think. There are so many people in Africa killed by Muslim armies and we
rarely here about them. Up til now God has protected us, but from what JB said about the death of
Shirley Temple, we will be called to account for our actions-our lack of them. Do you ever think about
what happened when they took the Bible and Prayer out of the schools? What was done about it? I wonder if God was hurt because we kind of let it slide by? What about the Abortion Law? We let that slide by also. Do you ever wonder how many of those babies would have grown up to be like
Mother Theresa or Billy Graham? Or how our economy is suffering because all those babies did not grow up to hold jobs and pay taxes? How about the law that forbade the erecting of crèches
or mangers on public property-even when they had been there for a very very long time. That
one broke my heart. Where were the protestors? One of the more recent ones has been the
effort to remove the name “Christmas” from the holiday. Then there is the doing away with
“Easter” from the school schedule. Time was given off for the Easter weekend, now it has become
Spring Break. How about the stores no longer being closed on Sundays? I am 68 years old and I
have seen it all. Why have we let it come to this?
Lord, we will miss them. You will welcome them with Highest honors. Let us every one, enter glory having run our race and finished the course in Jesus’ name.
DEAR SAINTS………..NO TIME TO WASTE!!!
LET US IMMEDIATELY COME HUMBLY AND FEARFULLY BEFORE THE THRONE OF HEAVEN, WITH BROKEN HEARTS, CRYING BEFORE GOD [and “fast” if necessary], TO INTERCEDE FOR THEIR RELEASE NOW — BEFORE IT’S TOO LATE!!!
There are many Christians around the world being cruelly martyred, and we in America need to get more “aware” as to what is tragically happening to them, and pray for their protection!
Thank you, Morningside, for the info!
