Typhoon Man-yi Hits Central Japan

Luke 21:25,26 NLT “And there will be strange signs in the sun, moon, and stars. And here on earth the nations will be in turmoil, perplexed by the roaring seas and strange tides. People will be terrified at what they see coming upon the earth, for the powers in the heavens will be shaken.”

Over 400,000 people have been forced to leave their homes after Typhoon Man-yi struck central Japan.

The Japanese Meteorological Agency said the country received “an unprecedented amount of rainfall” in central prefectures of Kyoto, Fukui and Shiga. In some places three inches of rain fell per hour.

The storm has killed at least one and three are confirmed missing. Hundreds of people have been injured and taken to area hospitals which are struggling to keep up with the number of those needing medical attention.

The storm knocked out power to thousands of homes and cancelled multiple domestic flights.

The storm’s eye passed Japan’s capital city of Tokyo at midday.
