UN Observers Pulled From Syria

Rev 6:3-4 NCV When the Lamb opened the second seal, I heard the second living creature say, "Come!" Then another horse came out, a red one. Its rider was given power to take away peace (prosperity, rest) from the earth and to make people kill each other (butcher, slaughter, to maim violently, in streets), and he was given a big sword (assassins sword, terrorist, loud, mighty, sore afraid).

“We have so devalued human life in our society that for many people it is a small thing to kill another person.”

-Jim Bakker in “Prosperity and the Coming Apocalypse”

After being targeted by gunfire, Maj. Gen. Robert Mood announced his decision to suspend all operations of the UN Observer Team in Syria.

There have been at least ten direct fire incidents on UN personnel and nine UN vehicles were struck in attacks over the last week.

The withdrawal comes as government troops are shelling several towns where opposition forces are believed to be residing. The town of Rastan and some of the towns near the capital of Damascus are being attacked. At least five people are reported dead in Douma, a Damascus suburb.

Maj. Gen. Mood said attempts to remove civilians from battle areas have been unsuccessful. Both sides of the battles claim their opposition is responsible for keeping the UN from removing innocents from the battlefield.

The UN said the suspension of operations does not mean they are giving up on helping the civilians of Syria.
