North Dakota Governor Aims To Test Roe v. Wade Boundaries

North Dakota governor Jack Dalrymple has signed the nation’s most restrictive abortion bill with an aim to test the boundaries of the Roe v. Wade decision.

In addition to the bill that would ban abortion after six weeks, Dalrymple signed a second law banning abortion based on generic abnormality and a third that requires doctors who perform abortions to have hospital admitting procedures. Continue reading

Washington State Considering Forcing All Insurers To Carry Abortion Coverage

Politicians in the Washington state are moving to force all insurance providers to make abortion coverage part of every plan.

North Dakota Passes Sweeping Abortion Ban

The North Dakota Senate has passed legislation that would make the state the hardest in the nation to get an abortion.

The bill, House Bill 1456, would ban abortion after the first sign of a fetal heartbeat which can be as early as five weeks into pregnancy. The Virginia Board of Health is considering a new set of regulations that have infuriated those who promote abortion.

Abortion Advocates Descend On Arkansas

Arkansas is being called “ground zero” in the fight to protect the lives of unborn babies.

Last week, lawmakers overrode a veto by Governor Mike Beebe to put in place a law that would prohibit most abortions after the 12th week of pregnancy. The law, called the Arkansas Human Heartbeat Protection Act, mandates that an abortion is no longer legal if a heartbeat is detected during an ultrasound at the 12th week of pregnancy. Abortion Amendment Debated In Northern Ireland

Members of the Legislative Assembly in Northern Ireland are debating an amendment that would ban abortions at private clinics in the nation.

The amendment is being attached to a criminal justice bill.

Opponents of the measure say the bill will keep women from being able to obtain abortions as prescribed by current law but the author of the bill says those claims have no basis. Continue reading
