Coldest Air of the Season

The southern edge of the cold snap will start to retreat a bit on Wednesday.

This will add up to a nice rebound in temperatures for a narrow corridor at the edge of the cold air, generally from St. Louis to Nashville.

But from the Upper Midwest to the Northeast, it will remain mighty nippy.

While we aren’t likely to see as many -20s or -30s Wednesday morning, readings from 0 to 19 below will still grip parts of the Upper Midwest and northern New England.

Lake-effect snows will continue across most of the Great Lakes region, as well.
