In Moldova, a young orphan girl has just turned 16. Government care stops at her age, and she receives the equivalent of $10.00 and a bus ticket back to the city listed on her birth certificate. But, she is an orphan and has no place to go. She steps off of the bus where a man approaches her. “I have a brother in Italy,” he tells her. “He has a restaurant and is looking for waitresses. We’ll fly you there, and he’ll pay you well!” The girl, eager that someone wants to help her, follows this man. 24 hours later, she has been beaten, raped, sold for $3,500 and will service over 30 men a day for the rest of her life, which won’t be long…
In America, a young girl sits on a table. A few weeks ago, she learned she became pregnant after a one-night stand. She is 17 and was expected to have a long, fruitful life ahead of her. The child in her womb is now in the way of her future, and no one has come to help her figure out her life. Except for a doctor who told her the baby in her womb is not alive, but just a piece of tissue and it can easily be removed. Yet, now she waits on this table for the operation, feeling more insecure than ever…
These situations are more common than you think. We are asking for your help to partner with us and with Philip Cameron to reach out to girls in Moldova and here in America to tell them that Jesus loves them and that there is more to life than this!
Will you help girls here and abroad? Join us in our “I Care” Telethon today!
You can call today, toll-free, 1-888-988-1588. You can also send your gift to PO Box 7330, Branson, MO 65615.
You can also help us by donating on our website. If you help today at our $1,000 level, our $3,500 level, or $10,000 level, we will send you this beautiful sculpture of Jesus called “The Resurrected Christ.” This statue was labeled by American Textbooks as the most perfect sculpture of Jesus. Standing 18 inches tall, this white marble statue makes easy to see the nail-scarred hands and feet, reminding us that Jesus died on the cross to save all who believe.
When you partner with us during this “I Care” Telethon today, you’ll also receive 2 Builder’s Club cards, redeemable for 1 gift in the Builder’s Club Shoppe each, during each visit to Morningside. This is 24 gifts total for 12 visits! Your name, or the name of a loved one, will also be engraved onto the base of a replica of the original “The Resurrected Christ” statue that will be placed on Grace Street. This statue and base will be 15 feet tall and will have prayer benches around it for anyone to come and pray.
Your gift will be used in three ways:
- Help build a Stella’s House in Moldova to rescue and prevent girls from entering sex trafficking.
- Help us build Lori’s House right here at Morningside for unwed, expectant mothers who need a place to have their child and to come to know the love of Jesus Christ.
- Help us continue to broadcast around the world with the message of Jesus Christ and to train young people to do the same.
If you are ready now to say “I Care!”, give a gift of $1,000.
A gift of $3,500 will prevent a young girl in Moldova from being sold into sex trafficking.
Join the Elisha’s Room Builders Club for a gift of $10,000 and sponsor a room in either Stella’s House or Lori’s House.
If you are unable to give on any of these levels, you can still make a donation to this “I Care” Telethon.
Please check your local listings and watch us all this week and next week during our “I Care” Telethon!.
