Largest Solar Flare Of 2013 Signals Increasing Flare Strength

Luke 21:25,26 “There will be signs in the sun, moon and stars. On the earth, nations will be in anguish and perplexity at the roaring and tossing of the sea. Men will faint from terror, apprehensive of what is coming on the world, for the heavenly bodies will be shaken.

A radio blackout on Thursday, April 11th, has been confirmed by NASA as the result of a massive solar flare.

The flare, classified as a M6.5-class sun storm, is considered a mid-level flare on the scale of solar flares.

“This is the strongest flare seen so far in 2013,” NASA spokeswoman Karen Fox explained in a statement. “Increased numbers of flares are quite common at the moment, since the sun’s normal 11-year cycle is ramping up toward solar maximum, which is expected in late 2013.”

The radio blackout was rated as R2 on an outage scale from R1 to R5.

When a solar flare is aimed directly at the planet it can cause problems with GPS navigation as well as damage to satellites and potentially fatal situations for astronauts. A very strong flare could impair power systems on Earth.
