Mali Discovery Could Mean al-Qaeda Has Feared Weapon

Matthew 24:6 You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come.

As UN workers comb through the ruins of various mausoleums and museums assessing damage left by Islamic terrorists driven out of the city, they made a very disturbing discovery.

Photocopies of a terrorist training manual appeared to show that al-Qaeda has a feared weapon called “The Grail”, a surface-to-air missile that is capable of taking down a commercial airliner. The weapon is also called a MANPADS, or Man-Portable Air-Defense System.

The documents were stapled together like a hand-out in a school class. Inside were photos and diagrams offering step-by-step instructions in using the Grail. The discovery confirms that terrorists are being trained to use the weapons which the Associated Press quoted sources as saying likely came from the stockpiles of former Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi.

A former adviser to the U.S. military command in Africa says the document is a “Dummies Guide to MANPADS” and means the terrorists have the weapons.

“Why…bother to write the guide if you don’t have the weapons?” Peter Pham told the AP.

The weapon is the size of a poster tube and can be easily transported in a duffel bag. It was created by the Soviet Union in the 1960s.
