A Mandatory Evacuation has been issued for Brick Township in New Jersey. Four healthcare facilities have also been evacuated in the Rockaways region of New York City.
Mayor Bloomberg encouraged the residents of New York to get off the roadways by stating “Because Hurricane Sandy weakened trees and caused extensive damage and debris, the predicted wind speeds present an increased risk of more downed trees and tree limbs, as well as windblown debris. All New Yorkers are urged to stay indoors during inclement conditions.”
Winter Storm Athena is expected to bring frigid temperatures, high winds, storm surges, rain and snow. Areas where dunes have been destroyed and sea walls damaged by Sandy are at a significant threat for coastal flooding.
I love Jesus with you! I pray these people in Jersey would have wisdom to contact anyone they know outside this uninhabitable area,and go stay somewhere else. Seems unproductive to send clothes,food etc when theres no roof over their head,and no place to live.I pray for wisdom for all of the people affected,and that they will seek God and recieve salvation in Jesus!!
