Pastor Jim delivered a tremendous message to his staff recently. It’s a message that all of us need as we go forward because the stresses of life sometimes make us callous and indifferent towards one another when we should be moving ever more towards love and unity.

There is no greater thing in the spiritual repertoire of the Church than LOVE.

Pastor Jim shared that he believes we are moving into a new dimension here at Morningside and we have an amazing year coming up.

To understand where we’re going, we need to understand the time we are living in. Pastor Jim ministered the following:

I believe we are in an unbelievable age in all the world. Jesus is coming soon! Older folks remember a time when everyone loved Jesus and He guided family values, yet TIME magazine announced we are in an era of pleasure and self-serving with no children. They’re saying that kids are a problem.

The world is coming to its final days. The Book of Revelation is absolutely accurate. It’s the greatest hour to win souls to Christ but we must remember that winning souls to Christ depends on our LOVE.

LOVE – the Bible says in Song of Solomon that “His banner over me is love.” It also says, “you will know you have passed from death unto life because you love the brethren.”

The Key to the family of God is when we love one another. Yet, most look to the leader and want that person to meet all their needs. We want that leader to love us, take us to dinner, come to our house, etc. God’s idea is different than our ideas.

My dream is that we will have a safe place. Our theme song is “I know a place.” That song says Morningside is a safe place, where all the wounded can come!

We all need to be willing to pray for each other. The last day ministry will only survive if we take care of the people, if we love each other and the partners. The key is being out where the people are. If everybody shakes hands and hugs people and prays for them, they will feel the love. Love is what the whole world looks for. It’s what they’re dying for. A man will swim an ocean to get to his love.

This place is built to be a sanctuary for people to come and feel love!

The Bible says in the last days the love of many will grow cold. That will not be the case at Morningside. I want this place to become that sanctuary of love. Together we can build our ministry and go deeper and broader all over the world.

If we love one another, we have fulfilled the law of Jesus Christ.

Love heals and changes lives. My dream is that this place will be known as a sanctuary of love. Love is not love unless it’s demonstrated.

“Bear ye one another’s burdens and so fulfill the law of Christ.” The power of faith is so important – faith is not something that takes great ability – faith works by love.

Love brings unity.

Let’s all ask the Lord for a new infusion of a true and lasting LOVE as we grow together in the days and years ahead. There is no greater mission than to learn to walk in LOVE.
